WELCOME

The SIU Green Roof is an interdisciplinary innovation hub available to any student to use for exploring their own passions.

Our University Innovation Fellows worked from 2019-2022 cultivating the culture and creating inspiration by engaging the campus and local community with Design Thinking Workshops and pursuing several engineering projects from smart irrigation to wind/solar renewable energy generation. We aspire to represent what it means to be a Saluki!

Currently, the recognized Green Roof Team launched as a business in May 2022 to continue their mission of providing hands-on educational opportunities in the field of sustainability. The company is dedicated to turning their engineering projects into educational DIY kits and offering hands-on internship opportunities for university students to grow professionally.
