MECHANICAL DESIGN
We manufactured a mount made of 4130 Alloy Steel to support a vertical axis wind turbine, while being held down by ballast with a Factor of Safety over 1.4 in reaction to high wind speeds.
ELECTRICAL DESIGN
We designed a standalone electrical system with a 12V battery in connection to a power distribution board and wind charge controller.
BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DESIGN
We designed a battery management system of a Raspberry Pi to monitor the power level of the system as well as collecting the wind speed and direction the structure experiences.
